The Disney Wish: Why Choose This Ship for Your Next Sailing? (10 Reasons)
The "KISS GOODNIGHT" ATTENTION TO DETAIL

I laid in the middle if the floor of the Grand Hall at the stroke of midnight and lights sparkled all around me… as “The Kiss Goodnight” nearly took my breath away. Sailing on this gorgeous ship in November 2024 on our Very Merry Christmas Time Cruise to the Bahamas to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday was a real life fairy tale. The 800 miles of twinkling, sparkling, fiber optic lights aboard this ship only added to the magic of it all. Cinderella’s classic song, “So This Is Love,” beautifully sung by Ilene Woods began to play and in that moment I felt like I was the only soul in the world in that moment in time. The Kiss Goodnight happens on the Disney Wish at 10pm, 11pm, and 12am. But you see, when the clock strikes “midnight,” guests hear distinct chimes, which signal that the night’s end is drawing near. Cinderella’s voice then comes over the speakers to remind listeners that it is almost midnight. The lights continue to shimmer up the walls… the ceiling… and the music fades out…. It was all so magical.
Kids Clubs for Every Age Group
One of the best things about the Disney Wish is that it caters to kids of all ages!
“it’s a small world” Nursery (for babies and toddlers up to 3 years old) offers a cozy, safe, and supervised environment so parents can enjoy some relaxation time.
Disney’s Oceaneer Club (for ages 3-12) is packed with themed areas like Marvel Super Hero Academy, Fairytale Hall, and Star Wars: Cargo Bay, where kids can dive into interactive play and meet their favorite characters.
Edge (for tweens 11-14) provides a super cool hangout spot with video games, arts and crafts, and tons of space to chill.
Vibe (for teens 14-17) is a stylish lounge with music, movies, and exclusive activities designed just for older kids.
The Hideaway (for 18-year-olds) is a brand-new space where young adults can relax and socialize before fully transitioning into the adult areas of the ship.
3. Themed ROTATIONAL Dining Experiences
Foodies, get ready to have your minds blown. The dining aboard the Disney Wish isn’t just about eating—it’s an experience. Disney does dining differently with rotational dining, meaning you and your servers move to a new restaurant each night while keeping the same personalized service. This ensures top-notch attention while experiencing unique dining themes. It’s the perfect way to keep mealtime fresh and exciting.
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure brings Anna, Elsa, and Olaf right to your table with live entertainment and Nordic-inspired dishes.
Worlds of Marvel lets you interact with the Avengers (yes, really) while enjoying a high-tech, action-packed dinner.

5. Broadway-Style Shows & Entertainment
Disney knows how to put on a show, and the Disney Wish takes that to a whole new level. The ship features an all-new version of “The Little Mermaid”, and let me tell you—it’s stunning. There’s also “Disney Seas the Adventure,” where Captain Minnie and friends take you on a musical journey, and plenty of character meet-and-greets throughout the ship. If you love live performances and tales such as "Aladdin," you won’t be disappointed.
6. Incredible Staterooms & Concierge Luxury
Even if you’re not splurging on a concierge-level suite (though if you can, wow, are they stunning), the regular staterooms on the Wish are next-level. Our stateroom was on deck 7, mid-ship and themed to Frozen. The Verandah was perfect for early morning coffee or late night fresh air and made the room feel so much more spacious. All staterooms are beautifully themed, and featuring split bathrooms (so helpful for families), they’re designed for comfort. If you do go concierge, you get access to a private lounge, priority boarding, and even an exclusive sundeck. Talk about VIP treatment!
7. Disney’s TWO Private IslandS - Castaway Cay & LOOKOUT CAY AT LIGHT HOUSE POINt
One of the highlights of sailing with Disney is visiting their private islands. Paradise awaits and features pristine beaches, snorkeling lagoons, bike trails, and exclusive adult-only areas like Serenity Bay for a peaceful escape. Plus, the island BBQ, endless fruit station and character meet-and-greets make the experience truly magical.
8. Unique Shopping & Exclusive Merchandise
Shopping on the Disney Wish isn’t just about souvenirs—it’s an experience. The ship offers high-end boutiques with luxury brands, exclusive Disney Cruise Line merchandise, and limited-edition collectibles you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re looking for a designer bag or a one-of-a-kind Disney keepsake, there’s something for everyone.
9. AquaMouse-Disney’s 1st Attraction at Sea
Okay, imagine the fun of a water slide mixed with a Disney ride, and you’ve got AquaMouse. It’s an exhilarating water coaster that takes you through animated scenes starring Mickey and Minnie before zipping you through twists and turns over the ocean. It’s like a mini theme park ride, but you’re on a cruise ship—seriously, what more could you ask for?
Whether you’re a kid at heart, a family looking for an unforgettable getaway, or just someone who loves top-tier cruising, this ship is packed with magic at every turn. If you have any questions, let’s chat—We could talk about this trip forever! Who’s ready to set sail? 🚢✨
